WHO IS TYLER?

Tyler Chernesky (he/him/his) is a storyteller, writer, placemaker and strategist who currently works with Alliance Studios and helps lead a neighborhood-focused nonprofit named Community Happens Here. He also partners with various community-centered organizations as a grant writer.

Tyler loves a sunny beach, a cold margarita and a good book.

He's served as a pastor at two growing churches, co-directed an art gallery, developed resources for Six-Word Memoirs, and regularly creates original works as a mixed-media collage artist.

​

He studied English, History, and Religious Studies at Indiana University, and received his Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

When he's not editing manuscripts, using an exacto knife, or replying to emails, he enjoys watching Ken Burns' documentaries and sitting in the front row at Broadway musicals.
